What Do I Need To Know?  (To Apply)

Freshman

A freshman is a student who has graduated high school and is beginning college for the first time or has earned less than 12 hours of college credit.

International Transfer

This is an international student who is transferring from another schoool outsidethe United States and has earned 12 hours or more of college credit.

U.S. Transfer

This is an international who is transferring from another school in the Unite States and has earned 12 hours or more of college credit.

Basic Requirements

  • You will need to send your transcripts to World Education Services at www.wes.org for a course-by-course evaluation to determine credit and grade tranfers.  
  • Missouri Baptist University also requires official transcripts to be sent from each school attended listing Grade Point Average and Class Rank.   
  • TOEFL requirements may be waived for students who have completed 24 credit hours of degree-seeking courses at a University in the U.S.  Otherwise, you will be required to prove English proficiency through one of the following tests.

550    (minimum score)

IELTS 

6.5     (minimum score)

Pearson Test of Academic English

Important Information

  • Application Completion Deadline: June 15, 2012
  • In order for us to be able to communicate effectively with you, you must have an email account with either Google, Yahoo or Hotmail!
  • All International Undergraduate Students are required to take their total course load at MBU on the MAIN CAMPUS ONLY.

Scholarships and Financial Information

2012 International Student Early Admission Scholarship


Any international student who meets all requirements for admission, is fully admitted to Missouri Baptist University by May 1st for the Fall 2012 semester, and is not receiving an athletic scholarship will be granted a $10,000 scholarship.  And additional $2,000 is available if the student lives in the dorms.

International Students are eligible to work on campus, and there may be opportunities available.  Please note that on-campus jobs can only be calculated into financial documentation if it is issued in the form of a scholarship.
