MBU’s newest addition to student ministries is the acoustic women’s group, Shelter. This group specializes in concert worship and will lead various girl’s and women’s retreats. They share the acoustic sounds from artists like Watermark, Kathryn Scott, Selah, FFH, and many others. "For you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me. Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings!"Psalm 61:3-4 (NLT) The passion behind the ministry of Shelter is to reach out to those who are discouraged, frustrated, or need a new sense of God’s comfort, love and protection. Their music and ministry carries the strength of those who have weathered the storm and seen God’s hand of providence. The group’s goal is to reach out to a variety of people, but especially girls and women, showing them that they are beautiful treasures, created by God.
