The Educational Leadership programs at Missouri Baptist University seek to prepare students for the growing need for visionary leaders in an ever-changing market for superintendents, curriculum and professional development specialists, principals, directors, supervisors and other key educators. The need for outstanding administrative leaders in K-12 schools continues to grow at an increasing rate and MBU prepares students to meet this need in ways that consider the busy schedule of the working professional. The University offers an advanced degree which provides students the opportunity to build on their teaching and leadership experience, preparing them for leadership positions in the field of education.

For those interested in pursuing positions in Educational Leadership at the district level, either as superintendents or in Curriculum and Instruction, MBU offers the Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree, an advanced degree that falls between the master’s and doctoral level. At the specialist level, students are able to complete degree requirements for state superintendent’s certification and for career professional-level for principals.

ATTEND FULL OR PART-TIME
The flexible schedule allows you to take classes when your time permits. Courses are offered year-round and typically meet once a week for eight sessions. Many students also take online courses to fit their particular schedules.

Missouri Baptist University’s tuition is very competitive. The overall cost, including tuition and fees, is one of the lowest in the area—private or public—and financial aid is available for eligible students. Please contact your graduate advisor for details.
